Day Care Centers

All New Jersey licensed child care centers must test for the presence of radon at least once every five years. Within 30 days of the completion of the testing procedures, the results of the test and any measures taken or proposed to mitigate the presence of radon shall be posted in a prominent location in the building which is readily visible to persons having responsibility for any child that attends the child care center. A state law, N.J.S.A. 30:5B-5.2, enacted on March 27, 1997 requires this testing.
